The Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo in Ravenna is a significant religious and historical landmark, built by Theodoric. For the 2026/2027 season, the basilica is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (last admission at 6:30 PM) between March 8 and November 2. From November 3, 2026, to March 6, 2027, hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last admission at 4:30 PM). The basilica is closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Ticket options include a combined ticket for two monuments (Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo and Basilica of San Vitale) or a combined ticket for four monuments, which also includes the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Neonian Baptistery. A reduced ticket for the two-monument pass costs €9.50 for students, non-accredited journalists, and groups of 20 or more. Free admission is available for children aged 0–10, religious/consecrated people, military personnel, ICOM members, persons with certified disabilities (and accompanying persons), Ravenna residents, licensed tourist guides, and teachers accompanying school trips (one free per 10 students).
