Miramare Castle is a historic residence located about 8 kilometers northwest of Trieste, Italy. Built in the 19th century for Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian and his wife Charlotte, the castle and its surrounding 22-hectare park offer a blend of historical architecture and natural beauty. The castle museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM during the high season, and from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the low season (October 1–March 31). The ticket office closes 30 minutes before closing time.

Admission to the museum costs €12 for adults, with reduced tickets of €2 for EU citizens aged 18–25. Children under 18 enter for free. Admission is also free on the first Sunday of every month. Audio guides are available for €4. The park is free and open year-round, with hours varying from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM depending on the month.

While the park is freely accessible, specific areas such as the Castelletto, Historic Kitchens, and the Ducal Bath require guided tours. The BioMa marine museum is located in the old stables. Facilities include Caffè Massimiliano, a wheelchair-friendly bookshop, and electric shuttles. Visitors are advised to book timed entry slots online, especially in summer, and to wear proper footwear for potentially slippery paths. Exploring Miramare Castle offers a profound insight into the Habsburg history of the region. For travelers, it serves as an essential stop to appreciate the architectural and natural heritage of Trieste.
