Travelers visiting Mantua should be aware that the tourist attraction is officially known as Palazzo Te, located on Isola del Te.
Palazzo Te is a Renaissance palace built in the 16th century for Federico II Gonzaga. It is renowned for its frescoes by Giulio Romano and its unique architectural style that blends Renaissance harmony with Mannerist innovation. The site includes the palace interior and extensive gardens.
For the 2026 season, the opening hours are Monday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Last entry is one hour before closing. The site is closed on December 25 but open on other holidays. Admission costs €15 for full price, with concessions of €11 for visitors aged 12–18, university students, and holders of specific regional cards. Special concessions are €7. Entry is free for children up to 11 years old, people with disabilities and their caregivers, Mantua citizens, and accompanying teachers or guides for groups of 15–25.
The ticket also grants admission to the MACA Museum and the Tempio Leon Battista Alberti. Visitors should note that no food, drink, or smoking is allowed inside the palace or gardens.
