Public buses connect Porto Cervo to nearby towns, but a car is recommended for exploring the region. The best time to visit Costa Smeralda is from June to September, when the weather is warm and sunny, ideal for beach activities and water sports. July and August are peak months, with higher prices and larger crowds. May and October offer milder weather and fewer tourists, making them suitable for hiking and sightseeing.
