Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Sassari

The Museo Archeologico Nazionale "Giovanni Antonio Sanna" in Sassari is a key cultural institution for northern Sardinia, housed in a neoclassical building designed by architect Michele Busiri Vici. The museum was established following the donation of collections by entrepreneur Giovanni Antonio Sanna. It evolved from the Regio Museo Antiquario (1878) to its current location on Via Roma in 1931, with expansions in 1973 and the addition of a medieval section in 2000.

Notably, on April 25, 2026, entry will be free for all visitors from 9:00 AM to 1:45 PM, with last entry at 1:15 PM.
