Giardino La Mortella

Giardino La Mortella is a renowned botanical garden located in Forio, Ischia, covering approximately two hectares of split-level landscapes. Established by composer William Walton and soprano Dame Joan Sutherland, the garden is a testament to their love for nature and music, featuring a diverse collection of plants from around the world. The site is open to the public from April 2 to November 1, 2026, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with last admission at 6:00 PM. It is closed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with specific exceptions for Easter Monday, Labor Day, and Italian Republic Day.

Visitors can enter through a pedestrian entrance at Via Francesco Calise 45 or a vehicle entrance at Via Zaro, which offers free parking. Admission fees are €15.00 for full-price tickets, with concessions of €12.00 for seniors over 70, students aged 19–24, and disability card holders. Group rates are available for 25 or more people, and children under 5 and RHS members enter for free.
