Cattedrale di San Secondo

The Collegiata di San Secondo, often referred to as the Cattedrale di San Secondo, is one of Asti’s oldest and most significant churches. Dedicated to the city’s patron saint, who was martyred there in 119 AD, the church was built between the 13th and 15th centuries on a Latin cross plan. It serves as a vital center for both religious devotion and cultural heritage in Asti.

Visitors can admire significant artworks housed within the church, including Michele Enatem’s 1658 crucifix and Gandolfino da Roreto’s Polyptych of the Magi (c. 1518). Admission to the church is free. It is open daily from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. However, access is restricted during Holy Mass times.
