Parco Sempione

Parco Sempione is Milan’s largest central park, often described as the city's "green lung." Located between the Castello Sforzesco and the Arco della Pace, it was established as an English-style garden between 1890 and 1893. The park serves as a popular escape for locals and visitors seeking relaxation, jogging, picnicking, and sightseeing. Admission to the park is completely free, making it an accessible destination for all travelers.

Opening hours vary by season. During the summer months from April to September, the park is open daily from 6:00 AM to midnight. In the winter, from October to March, it remains open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Visitors are advised to plan for 2–3 hours to enjoy the park itself, though a full day can be spent combining the park with nearby attractions.

Key landmarks within and around the park include the Castello Sforzesco at the southern entrance, a Renaissance fortress rich in history.
