Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale)

The Doge’s Palace, or Palazzo Ducale, is a Gothic masterpiece located at Piazza San Marco 1, serving as the former residence of the Doge of Venice and the seat of Venetian government. The palace is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM between April and October, and from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM from November to March. Last admission is typically one hour before closing. Advance reservations are strongly recommended to skip long queues, especially during peak tourist seasons.

The Venice Museum Pass and combined St. Mark’s Square tickets are accepted for entry, though free entry on Sundays does not apply. Mornings and late afternoons are generally quieter, allowing for a more contemplative experience.
